On Saturday we celebrated Hannah and Adam’s intimate wedding in Renfrew. The sun was shining with not a cloud in the sky. Most importantly, there was just enough of a breeze to cool us down when we needed it. Their intimate wedding was done a little bit different than you’d expect. They got creative and managed to still see all of their guests!

Hannah started her day off getting ready at her parents house with her two beautiful sisters. They all wore matching Smash-Tess rompers as they did each others makeup and sipped on mimosa’s.

Adam got ready with his family. Once they were all organized they came to Hannah’s parents house so they could do a first look! I remember hearing Adam say he was thankful they did a first look. He may have shed a tear or two.

They tied the knot at the stunning St. Francis Xavier Church. They were lucky that the Church has the ability to hold a large capacity. So, they ended up being able to have about 88 guests attend while maintaining social distancing.

As soon as the ceremony ended, they weren’t allowed to linger around the church as per the social distancing guidelines. So, they headed straight back to their parents home. Here is where the intimate wedding portion still managed to accommodate everyone.

Hannah and Adam decided to schedule in a time slot for each group of 10 to stop by and visit in 20 minute intervals. They set up small standing tables at least 6 feet apart. Each guest was given a charcuterie box-to-go, a home made bottle of wine, and maple syrup made by Hannah’s dad. They truly made the best out of the situation.

Once the last group of 10 left, Hannah and Adams family were welcomed back out to the backyard. They had speeches, an elegant dinner, and their first dances. During their speeches, I learned that Hannah and her sisters are not only the most beautiful people inside and out, but they also have incredible singing voices. Hannah’s two sisters remixed a bunch of songs and sang their speech to Hannah and Adam. The songs they chose to remix were carefully chosen. I remember when they started singing a Celine Dion song, Hannah was a bit teared up as it was her favourite song growing up. It was extremely well done, these girls are so talented.

I honestly think that their family members could easily run a catering, DJ, wedding planning, makeup artist, and bakery company. They honestly put together the perfect day and worked so hard all day to make sure everything went smoothly.

After spending the entire day with these two and their families, I can honestly say that I felt more like family than a vendor. They were all so kind and made sure Myself and the videographer, Elysa, always had water and snacks. I laughed a lot and I don’t think my smile ever left my face the entire day. It felt so good getting back out shooting weddings again.
