Liz and Jake decided to have their winter engagement session photos done at the Dominion Arboretum in Ottawa. The session had originally been planned for November to get the early winter vibes but with bad weather and covid restrictions we rescheduled this session AT LEAST 5 times LOL. Finally, we were able to make it happen! We got to sneak the session in early March before all the snow melted! The plus side to waiting till March, is we ended up with slightly warmer temperatures! We didn’t freeze and still got those pretty snow photos!
We definitely got our step count in at this session as we wondered through the arboretum, and those steps were NOT easy! The snow had been walked in and then frozen over. So, we were walking along on bumpy ice the entire time and somehow none of us ended up falling! We did GOOD!
Their first date was at a little coffee shop. Ever since, they have been attached at the hip! Jake ended up moving in with Liz when covid began so they would be able to quarantine together! They spent so much time together in this apartment that once plans were made to move elsewhere together, Jake decided to propose to Liz in the very apartment that they fell in love with each other in. Such a personal and sweet proposal in such a meaningful place.
Liz and Jake are seriously SO CUTE together! Throughout the entire session they were both filled with laughs and giggles as they chatted back and forth! Their laughs were contagious. I even found myself smiling ear to ear as I went through their images just remembering and seeing how happy these two are together!
