The snow fell just in time for Melissa and Jake’s Stittsville Wedding. All of their portraits were graced with the beauty of a clean fresh blanket of snow. It truly felt like a winter wonderland.

Each of them got ready in separate spaces with those closest to them by their sides. They then met at the Kevin Haimes Golf Centre for their first look and portraits. This location was particularly meaningful because not only does the groom work here, his father owns it. This place is a large part of Jake’s life and it was truly special to have their portraits captured here. Melissa and Jake chose to have their ceremony and reception at NeXT Restaurant in Stittsville. They had an intimate wedding with those closest to them. They really wanted everyone attending to have an amazing meal and get to try as many different dishes as possible, so they had 5 waves of food with different options throughout each course. It was a very relaxed evening with exquisite food, laughter and tears during speeches, and lots of mingling with their loved ones.

HOW HE ASKED

With golf being such a huge part of Jake’s life, they decided to go on a vacation to a beautiful golf course in Nova Scotia called Cabot. They had been out walking the golf course at sunset when they ended up in a particular spot that overlooks the ocean. As they were admiring the view of the sun setting over the ocean, he got down on one knee and proposed to Melissa. She of course said yes and now the Cabot golf course holds a very special place in their hearts.
