When spring hits in Ottawa, the cherry blossom and magnolia trees start to bloom. Timing of these stunning blooms is all dependant on weather so they can bloom anytime from late April to early May. With how chilly our spring was this year, they just started to bloom a few days before this beautiful session. Perfect timing! We planned this Ottawa cherry blossom maternity session to be near the beginning of May knowing that if the trees bloomed early, they should still be around. But, if the trees bloomed late, we should be just in time. And it worked out perfectly! The trees at the Dominion Arboretum had just begun to bloom!
Rebecca and Prannay are such a stunning couple. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them in the past while they were engaged and now they are officially married with a baby on the way! Such an exciting time!! We decided to take advantage of the stunning blooms during golden hour and were able to get such dreamy portraits to capture this exciting season of life for them.
