Michelle and Ben’s summer wedding was thoughtful, emotional, and deeply personal. From quiet moments in the morning to a cozy backyard celebration at dusk, their day unfolded in a way that felt true to who they are and what they value most.
An Emotional First Look and Private Vows
Once ready, they made their way to Aquatopia for their first look. In the freshly cut grass, Michelle and Ben saw each other for the first time in a private and intimate setting. This moment flowed naturally into their private vows, which were incredibly sweet and emotional. There were tears, smiles, and a deep sense of connection as they shared words meant only for each other.
Ceremony & Cocktail Hour at Aquatopia
Their ceremony took place inside the Aquatopia greenhouse, surrounded by lush plants and natural light pouring in from every angle. It was the perfect backdrop for them to exchange vows in front of their loved ones.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour. Michelle and Ben took time to connect with everyone and share their gratitude, thanking their favourite people for being there to celebrate with them. Shortly after, they cut the cake, marking another sweet milestone in the day before transitioning to their reception plans.
Classic Car Portraits and a Scenic Departure
One of the most memorable details was their classic car, which served as their transportation back to their home for their reception. Before they headed off, we made sure to take full advantage of their mode of transportation and spent time capturing portraits with the car before they drove off.
A Backyard Reception Under String Lights
Their home reception was warm, relaxed, and full of intention. Guests enjoyed a beautiful spread of charcuterie and fresh oysters, setting the tone for an evening that felt more like an intimate gathering than a formal event. String lights were hung in the backyard, creating a cozy and romantic atmosphere as the sun began to set.
As dusk arrived, Michelle and Ben shared their first dance under the glowing lights and surrounded by sparklers held by the people they love most. It was quiet, tender, and incredibly meaningful. It was the perfect ending to a day centred on connection and love.
Michelle and Ben’s Aquatopia summer wedding was a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful celebrations are the ones that feel true to you. From private vows to a backyard first dance, every part of their day reflected intention, gratitude, and genuine joy.
